Before turning his attention to representing clients harmed by the negligent and often fraudulent practices of pest control companies, John Bowers dedicated 29 years to championing victims of criminal conduct as a prosecutor at the District Attorney’s Office for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama in Birmingham. During his tenure, he prosecuted a wide array of criminal offenses, including capital murder, drug trafficking, financial fraud, and numerous high-profile jury trials.

In addition to his courtroom successes, John oversaw the Circuit Court and District Court Divisions of the District Attorney’s Office and led its Homicide Division. He later served as Chief Deputy District Attorney for nearly a decade.

Throughout his career as a prosecutor, John was an active member of several professional organizations, including the Alabama District Attorney’s Association, the Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation, and the Metropolitan Criminal Justice Executive Association. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Prescott House Child Advocacy Center.

A proud Samford University “Double Bulldog,” John holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law.

John continues to pursue justice for his clients with the same tenacity that defined his prosecutorial career, making the establishment of Cochran Bowers PC a natural extension of his lifelong commitment to helping others.

Alexandria C. Nichols – Partner

Allie-NicholsMeet Alexandria C. Nichols, one of the brightest stars at Cochran Bowers PC—and not just because she’s a partner/shareholder with a knack for winning cases! A proud graduate of the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and Cumberland School of Law, Allie has spent her career fearlessly taking on some of the world’s largest corporations involved in termite fraud and termite damages litigation. She’s the legal eagle you want in your corner when you’ve been cheated by your Termite Prevention Service Provider. With her sharp mind and sharper wit, Allie’s built a reputation for fighting for her clients like they’re family—because to her, they kind of are.

When she’s not busy crushing it for her clients, Allie’s living her best life outside the office. She’s married to Ruben, her husband and fellow attorney (yes, they’re a power couple who probably discuss the finer points of the law over breakfast), and together they wrangle a menagerie of pets. Dogs, cats, maybe a rogue goldfish—who knows what’s scampering around their house? Allie’s also got a soft spot for the deer that swing by her office window, where she’s been known to toss them a snack or two. (We’re pretty sure they’d hire her as their lawyer if they could.)

A self-proclaimed foodie, Allie’s kitchen is her happy place—especially on Taco Tuesdays, when she whips up creations so tasty, they’d make a food truck jealous. Whether she’s perfecting her guac or just unwinding with a margarita, she brings the same passion to her downtime as she does to her cases. Clients love Allie not just for her legal know-how, but for her down-to-earth charm and the way she makes them feel like they’re chatting with a friend. At Cochran Bowers PC, we’re all about real connections—and Allie’s the heart of that mission. Got termite problems? Call Allie. You won’t regret it!
